Nov-Dec 1948 - New owner of Undine of Dark Gauntlets,
Blue Point female is Mrs. Frank Bjerring of North Hollywood, Calif. This beautiful Siamese is very photogenic, writes Mrs.
Bjerring, according to her husband who is a photographer in the MGM motion picture studios. Undine carries all Seal on her sire's side, Pasha of Dark-Gauntlets, and all Blue on her mother's side, Dorcas of Dark Gauntlets. She lacks 2 points each in CFA and CFF for her championship.
Mrs. Fred J. Wilson of East Orange, N. J., recently imported from Mrs. Sayers in England, the young Siamese Seal in kitten, Southwood Trinket, sired by Southwood Uching ex Oriental Ting San. She had been bred to Oriental Silky Foy. Another import by Mrs. Wilson is Daryngton Elusive Ladye, from Mrs. A. H. Fox of Durham, England.
Mrs. Nicolia Slobodian of Louisville, Ky., has an unusually fine Siamese female that would very easily be a "cut-up" in the South and Midwest this year. She is Panda Van DeSpree of Shawnee sired by Larchwood Clover of the famed Prestwick lines, out of Bestaf Cristie who in turn is from Wansfell Ajax of Abingdon and Odersfelt stock. Bestaf is owned by the Baroness L. M. deWestenbury. Panda was brought to America by Dr. John W. Taylor, President of the University of Kentucky who purchased her in Berlin. Recently she was bred to Tremunity Montgomery, famed sire of the two-time All-American Seal male, Dbl. Ch. Knight's Peter Piper owned by Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Knight, of Oswego, Ore. Mrs. Slobodian is President of the Kentucky Cat Club and is shown here with her Seal Point Siamese Tremunith Montgomery (left) and
Kyaac of Valhalla (right), the sire and dam of Dbl. Ch. Knight's Peter Piper, the 1947 and 1948 All-American Seal Point Siamese Male. |

November 1948 - No Color in Nose I have a .3-year-old female Seal Point Siamese. About four months ago she started losing the dark brown color in her toe pads and the top of her nose. It gives her a very odd. appearance. She gave birth to kittens, about three months ago and I wondered if that might account for it, or for a lack of something in her diet. I have asked other Siamese owners and breeders if they have ever encountered this condition, but none have. She (Bhanurangsi) and her three kittens and my male Siamese are perfectly healthy. The snapshot seems to show her eyes as crossed, but this must be due to the lighting. Bhanurangsi isn't at all concerned about her pale nose. She is just as independent and proud as ever, but she does look funny ! Canton, Ohio Mrs. Donald E. Warner Pedigree of Bhanurangsi
